Within this site we wish to demonstrate the aims and aspirations of Lions International and to clarify how this relates in practice to the ethos of the Warwick Lions Club of Great Britain.
Lions Clubs International founded close to 100 years ago is arguably the world's largest community service organisation. We are non-political; we have no cultural or religious boundaries, and there is no gender discrimination, we welcome without distinction men and women. In fact to join us all we require is that you are willing and you wish to foster and serve your local community. Of course, if you wish to add an outlet to your social life and improve your circle of friends, this is also available.
The aim of any Lion Club (world wide) is to promote and benefit the less fortunate in our own localities. In addition to this we do provide International aid if required. The money for these projects is funded from all over the world but is always distributed by local Lions Clubs in the Countries concerned.
The Warwick Lions Club meets at the Warwick Arms Hotel on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:45 for 8:00

Visiting Lions and Guests are most welcome
We organise and take part in several events during the year:
Warwick Carnival, Warwick Town Firework Display, Carols at the Castle, Race Day at Warwick Racecourse, Warwick Beer Festival, Tin Shakes, Car Boot Fairs, Easter Egg Draws
90% of the money we raise is spent locally.
We have helped individuals and families with needs such as a pushchair, school uniforms, a cot, furniture..
Senior Citizens have been taken to the Pantomime and other Shows.
For the elderly who live alone and cannot afford the cost of a telephone Life Line, the Club has provided the equipment on permanent loan.
We also carry out alot more activities and events to help our community, such as Christmas parcels, Broads holiday for disabled people, regular donations to local causes such as Myton and the Air Ambulance and donations to local youth organisations (Guides, Scouts, Cadets), to name but a few.
It is now over 50 years since the first Club was formed in Great Britain and Ireland. We are the largest Service Club in the World, with over 1.4 million Lions working in 42,000 Clubs Worldwide!
In Britain there are more than 24,000 Members in 1,000 Clubs.
